New schedules will be introduced on some public transport routes as of June 1

„Rīgas satiksme” informs that new schedules will be introduced on some public transport routes as of June 1 in conformity with the passenger flow. These changes will not affect on-peak hours with the highest number of passengers. Like in previous years, „Rīgas satiksme” will make changes in the traffic of buses No. 2, 3, 24, 29, 30 and 36 for the period starting from June 1 and till the end of summer, in order to improve the delivery of passengers to popular beaches in Bolderāja, Mangaļsala and Vakarbuļļi. Some minibus routes will have they schedules changed as of May 30.

Based on the successful experience of previous years, this year from June 1 till the end of summer bus No. 36 will run to Vakarbuļļi more frequently. There will be additional runs on holidays, when the passenger flow reaches its maximum, a new schedule for workdays and holidays will be also introduced on this bus route.

Also starting from June 1, on Saturdays, Sundays and festive days after 9:00 all buses on route No. 3 will run to Vakarbuļļi beach. As of June 1 bus No. 30, which now runs on workdays only, will run on Saturdays, Sundays and festive days as well.

To improve the public transport traffic to Mangaļsala, from June 1 till the end of summer the number of runs will be increased on bus route No 24 on Saturdays, Sundays and festive days. Given changes in the holiday schedules of bus route No. 24, the holiday schedule of bus route No. 2 will be also changed accordingly.

From June 1 till the end of summer bus route No. 29 will be extended to Vecāķi, so bus No. 29 will run on route „Mežciems-Vecmīlgrāvis-Vecāķi”. The changes will be made to improve the delivery of passengers to popular Riga beaches. Given these changes in bus route No. 29, holiday and workday schedules of bus route No. 19 will be also changed accordingly.

As of June 1 there will be new schedules on the following bus routes: new workday and holiday schedules on bus routes No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24, 28, 29, 31, 32, 36, 37, 41, 43, 48, 50 and 53, new workday schedules on bus routes No. 4z,7, 8, 9, 12, 16, 22, 25, 40 and new holiday schedules on bus routes No. 51 and 52. From June 1 till the end of summer bus No. 30 will run on holidays as well.

As of June 1 there will be new schedules on the following tram routes: new workday and holiday schedules on tram routes No. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 and new workday schedules on tram routes No. 3 and 9.

As of June 1 there will be new schedules on the following trolleybus routes: new workday and holiday schedules on trolleybus routes No.1, 3, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25 and a new holiday schedule on trolleybus route No. 27.

As of May 30 changes will be made in the workday schedules of minibuses No. 203 and 233 and in the workday and holiday schedules of minibuses No. 236, 237, 241, 242 and 267.

For passengers to be able to better orientate themselves in the public transport routes network, as of June 1 the terminal of trolleybus route No. 22 in the city centre, which is now called „E.Birznieka-Upīša Street”, will change name to „Central Railway Terminal”. Also from June 1 bus and trolleybus stop „Stockmann centre” will change name to „Bus station”.
